Service was fast and food was really good. We really appreciated the quick service over the lunch hour. So many places fail to realize people don't have unlimited time over their lunch hour. Calvin Rocket got us in and out with time to spare.

Great food and service

We eat here regularly, usually once every week. We have never been disappointed. Food has always been good and the Sinful Margarita is a very nice drink. When the raspberry flavor is weak, I ask for a bit more and they did so! Thank you and we will continue to stop in!

Delicious Bloody Mary's! Their mushroom and swiss burger wasn't as good as it could have been. The sweet potato fries were great! The waitresses were very nice.

Stopped in on a Friday not only was the staff amazing with a crowd but the food was phenomenal! Bartender he was amazing as well a the young woman who took over. If you havent tried this place your missing out. Between the staff, cooks and servers it's like a well oiled machine. We will make sure we stop in again!

Love the onion rings

Service was ok at best. We came early afternoon for lunch. The food was horrible. I hate to say it but I'll never be back. I had the Philly Steak and it had NO FLAVOR. Not even a hint of salt. We had the combo appetizer and the onion rings were completely coated in a seasoned salt to the point we couldn't enjoy them. Might be a good bar, but a horrible place to eat. Our food went home to the dog. Poor dog.

Food was delicious, service was awesome, there were about 20 in our group and they kept orders together and were very helpful.

Our group goes here at least once a month and have been very pleased except today. No problem with good or wait staff uaually, but today was an exception. Because we are a senior group, we can't do high tops or big booths. Finally a group that didn't need a small table gave us theirs to put with another small one. We were grateful, but our waitress was rude and slammed the two tables together. Her body language told us she was upset. She even told one of our party, "When you make up your mind, let me know!". We have always been pleased with Calvin Rockets, but we were uncomfortable today.

Poor service. It took an hour to get our food and it was cold. Prime rib was like rubber

I travel to the area a lot from out of state, the staff is always great and haven't had a bad meal there, pretty much eat there every night I'm in town. The Friday night walleye for lent is awsome.

Service was so slow...on a week night....they were busy but that just shows a need for more options in Marshalltown. I had to go to the bar to fetch our beverages and still waited 10min for a ' hello '....the check to a long time too. The food tasted frozen, nothing fresh or made from scratch, nothing special here...definitely nothing I'd make a 2nd trip for. El Portals Mexican is the definite go-to for dinner.

Calvin Rocketts is always a solid option for lunch and supper. Their food is always nice quality and the atmosphere is a good mix between sports bar and just plain relaxing.Their beer selection could be bigger, especially in the days of the craft beer craze. But they always get the cook on their food right and the staff are always friendly and helpful.The dining area, bar, and restrooms are always clean. We will be back!

Place was nasty and expensive . Chicken wasnt even cooked all the way on the wings. 🤮
